Adolescent Development and Participation Programme (ADAP)

TMF Partnership with UNICEF is geared towards contributing to outcome of Education : By 2025 , an effective and efficient well-resourced formal and non- formal quality education system that is inclusive, relevant and accessible to all boys and girls with increased school retention, completion achievement rates. TMF will specifically contribute to realization of output 2.3 Basic Education and Adolescent Development (BEAD) ; By 2025, improved access of adolescents to information, life skills and essential services to reduce their vulnerability to HIV, teenage pregnancy and violence. In the BEAD programme, TMF will work with MoES –Gender Unit by improving the level of knowledge, skills and participation of adolescents to access essential service , to reduce their vulnerability to teenage pregnancy , child marriages and violence . In addition, TMF will contribute towards improving increasing access, re-enrollment; completion rates at both primary and secondary school levels and working through girls education clubs to support the adolescents stay longer in school, be empowered and participate in school activities, working with boys and men as champions of change, girl led advocacy meetings with community leaders to address the adolescent specific challenges and negative cultural norms and practices that affect education.
