Our Journey

Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation has been in existence for 9 years having started as an initiative in 2013 , driven by the passion of turning negative experiences into positive action by a former child mother.

In 2014, the Organisation progressed into a Community Development Organization operating in Wakiso and in Pakwach district, West Nile region. In 2015, it was registered as a National NGO to expand reach and scale up adolescent development and education programs so as to reach the most vulnerable adolescents in the humanitarian and development context.

The founder of the Organisation was later joined by two volunteers driven by passion and commitment to change lives of adolescents in Uganda. It started with zero funding with initial support for 50 child mothers to return and keep in school. The Organisation now has presence in the regions of Karamoja, West Nile, Busoga and Central.

Our journey is intentional and driven by passion. To us, it’s a calling to serve the children of Uganda and we continue to pursue this calling by working as a team and with support of Government and other development partners.

TMF works with schools, families, communities, other like- minded Civil Society Organizations, Government and Development partners to promote and protect rights of girls and young women to quality education, Sexual reproductive Health and Rights and Economic Empowerment.
TMF works target the different levels of influence towards social behavior change and communications by addressing barriers to education, participation, protection and access to services for girls and young women in Uganda.
