Namukwana Sharifah, a 15-year-old girl living with her grandmother in Wakiso district, faced challenges after her father abandoned the family. Her mother worked in gardens, struggling to support six children. Sharifah, dealing with marriage proposals and lacking basic needs, initially considered migration for work but was supported by her grandmother to return to school. Enrolled in the Girls Empowering Girls program for four years, she and her family felt blessed by the support, which improved their household income. Despite the program ending, they remain positive and empowered for the future.
